Who We Are
In the spring of 2012, friends all nestled around a table, all artists, sat chatting for hours in their shared community space within their studios. The concern, as graduation seaming to rapidly approach, time flying by all persons dedicated to their studio practice understood and shared the fear of losing the creative community built over the years. Leaving the West Harlem haven was inevitable, all with the mutal goal to accomplish why they all journeyed here in the first place. This group, all brought together from places far and near to pursue a Master of Fine Arts. all commonly made time at least once a week to all break away from whatever creation may be brewing in their indivual studios to spend ti Channel Your Animal is a community of artists and students working side-by-side in a friendly environment that encourages and inspires artistic growth. We believe everyone has an artist inside them, looking to express himself and we want to help you find your artistic voice. Each and every one of our artists has experience in the studio and in the classroom meaning you get not only teachers with great art technique, but also great teaching technique too. Studio rentals and educational programs are also available upon request with prior reservation. Please get in touch today to learn more about our offerings.

Our Mission
DETERMINED ARTISTS
At Channel Your Animal, we understand the importance of support in an artist’s life. Our community serves as an educational branch and support system for all artists who visit our Collective by being a special place where their creative juices can flow freely. We’re dedicated this network to our artists, and we provide them with the appropriate training and tools they need to succeed. It’s our mission to ensure that the arts remain strong, and to offer classes to students of all levels - introducing newcomers to art and creativity, and refining the techniques of even the most veteran artists.
